Teaching
I am a Tutor (tenure-track) in St. John's College's "Great Books" program, where I lead small tutorials and seminars in literature, philosophy, history, language, and mathematics. Prior to this, I taught at Harvard for eight years, for courses in the English department, the General Education department, and in the Writing Program, and on topics ranging from Milton's Paradise Lost to the contemporary American novel. I also served as the Writing Director for Humanities 10, Harvard's flagship introductory humanities course for first-year students. I received Harvard's Excellence in Teaching Award nine times.
