As of July 2020, I will be joining the faculty at St. John's College in Santa Fe as a Tutor (tenure-track). Prior to this, I was a preceptor in the Expository Writing Program at Harvard University, as well as the Writing Director for "Humanities 10," Harvard's flagship "Great Books" course for first-year students. I recently completed my dissertation titled "The Ornamental Novel: Surface, Periphery, Excess in the Nineteenth Century" and received my PhD from Harvard's English department in May 2017. Originally from Canada, I graduated with a B.A. (honours) degree from Trinity College at the University of Toronto in 2009. My scholarly work focuses primarily on 19th century British literature, though I have taught classes on topics ranging from Milton to the contemporary American novel.
I also served as a Freshman Proctor and Academic Advisor at Harvard University for eight years.
